im getting on up there in my range w/ double g`s and such, and working on a super c the best thing that you can do for high notes is use fast air and and a lot of it.you should also consider the mouthpiece you are playing on if you are wanting to play lead, you should get the schilke 6a4a i have had it for about a year now and it has helped me dramtically i mean its not a miracle mpc or any thing, but it is an excellent mpc for lead work ...also you have to practice if you want to get any better at it!!~!!!

If you keep practicing and practicing and you just can`t seem to get the high notes right you might want to check out your mouthpiece I upgraded from a 5c to a 1 1/2c and I can hit that g relativly easy when I had to really struggle to hit it with my 5c!

But definatly practice before go buying a new mouthpiece no one wants to spend money when they don`t need too!

Hey, I`m having trouble getting that high too. The highest note I can hold out and sustain is a HIGH F. All of those methods that ppl tell you work. Really well I might add. I`m a freshman in high school, and people in the trumpet section all hate me because I`m better than them. My band teacher told me so. Plus We have scale proficiency charts and I`m at a Level 3 out of 5 and I`m the only freshman on the third level(I`m going for Level 4). Anyhoo, I found out something that works, near the middle of Tank! where there`s that Alto Sax solo and the trumpets hit those HIGH D`s, and the bass line or whatever hits low D`s, play the low D`s and the HIGH D`s, they give you more range. I found the sheet music before for all of the parts, but I can`t remember where I found it now, and I don`t have it . So can someone send the whole thing to me please?

If you want help learning how to play high notes on a trumpet you should contact Dr.Michael E. Schmidt of the Trumpet of the Lord Ministries.
Dr.Michael E. Schmidt is the best high note trumpet player that I have ever heard. You can go to Dr. Schmidt`s website at http://www.trumpetofthelord.com.
Mikey Schmidt can play high notes on a trumpet that are so high they are higher than I had ever heard before I heard him play.
