so i bought a blue cheaply made used trumpet on ebay for a very small price. I thought it would at least work but it wont. the valves are in right casings and i used a cleaning snake to go through all the slides, I am clompletely lost on what is wrong with it. when i go to play nothing will come out of the other end

IF you ran a snake through the instrument and you get nothing out the other end then I suspect the valves are either 1-not in the correct casings, or 2- not in the casing correctly.
Some desgins allow you to accidently rotate the valve 180 degrees. Also some designs require that the valve sit down in a notched reciever -look closely in the casing and see if this is the case.
One way to check is take all three out and lay them down in order. Take the second valve and put it in. Remove the 2nd valve tuning slide and you will be able to see the piston when it goes up and down. When you press it down you should see the bore thats been cut into the valve. If you do you should be able to get a sound. IF you get a sound continue onto the 1st valve and then the 3rd valve. If you don't get a sound then take tha darn thing to your local repair shop.

okay so i did what you said put 2nd one in without tuning slide got some noise and it lined up, then put in first got some noise, put in third no noise unless i pressed it down and then when i put the 2nd tuning slide still no noise unless the third valve is being pressed and the noise coming out doesnt sound like it should because i have a good trumpet that i play fine and this sounds like crap lol
