Heya all you french horn players! I am a serious clarinetist but I adore the sound of a french horn. That is the only other instrument that I would ever consider! I very much enjoy listening to Gunter Hogner perform. Anyway, I have a question: How do you go about winning the heart of a french horn player? Anyone have any tips?????

yeah, that site has a lot of music just for our instrument. Another site that is good is www.musicnotes.com. There is this one song called Cantante Domino. Me and my horn quartet played it, although it is written for a horn trio, we added another part. Try to find that song, it is great.

and to the clarinetist who is trying to win the heart of a french horn, give a ton of compliments about their playing. Say how they are always in tune, have good tone, and raises the talent of the ensemble single handedly. That would work.

Also, any of you guys ever hear of Russian Christmas Music by Alfred Reed. Awesome song. Great horn part at the end. Really loud. `fff` marking with accent on all the notes. I LOVE IT!

Hey french players out there!! I`m an intermidate player that is looking for some music that would be appropiate for an audition. I think that would help out a lot. i`m looking for something challenging such as "Emperata Overture" for example. Hope someone can help. Thanks Amanda

www.music-scores.com is real great and with adobe you can download entire songs also ther is goodbrss ensemble stuff with french Horn. Even though i`m a serious trumpet player i enjoy playing french horn ever so often and i like the mellow sound and wide range.

hmm... u want to know how to get a french horn player i see. well I`ll tell you this works both ways(guy or girl, were all so much alike i have a hard time even remembering who i`m talking to some times)
Well here it goes.
1. don`t be afrade to make mistakes
2. be your self
3. keep an OPEN mind
4. let us talk about anything that we want
5. and laugh at our stupid funny carzie and embarsing moments (we love that )
