so ive upgraded from a ml bore 37 bach strad to a getzen genesis
large bore large bell, i usually play on a 3C or a 1.5C depending on the day

should i consider a bigger mouthpiece to take advantage of the larger horn?
im somewhat used to a deep english style cornet mouthpiece, so bigger is fine, i can adjust
but, what im trying to see is, what would be a good size? i prefer larger rims on the mp

Thanks for any suggestions

Stick with what youve got, I've just gone to a L bore selmer TT and wow you can just fill and fill and fill untill you cant fill anymore! take advantage of it, keep with what you have, give it 6 months if your still not happy change

Just changed to a warburton KT backbore and 4M top, the KT is tight, very commercial sounding and gives me that edge that I want while the mediam 4M cup gives me the sound and quality I need

Yeah, 3Cs are fine. I still play on a 37 Bach with a 3C, and sounds very broad and colorful. As long as the mouthpiece has a big enough bore (compared to a smaller mouthpiece), it should sound fine.
