Does anybody know the "real" story behind Doc Severinsen leaving Getzen back in 2003 to hook up with Shires now?

The only thing I was able to find on the net was that he 'chose' to leave Getzen. But we all know such BS like that just covers up or masks the "real" reasons for people leaving one company to join another.

Anybody know the "real" story on this?
