Yes, an authentic old trumpteteer.

Danke Shön Keith. Perhaps in....51 years, I can be there too.

The lead player of Maynard at the time I saw him (two years ago, not sure if he`s still the same) played with only one lung. In my opinion, he was playing better lead than Maynard. And no, I`m not talking Maynards crazy solo-lead junk, but as a Lead player, that guy was dominant. Louder than anything, and Range that was solid, and he even squeaked some tone in there (sorry maynard). Maynard, another old trumpeteer.

I was taught how to play the trumpet by my father he is 84 years old and stills practices every day when he is not playing the piano he still gets a good tone considering he has false teeth.Trumpet players really need to pratice super dental Hygene,I have been playing for 40 years and I play at my church.THE CORNET FOUND ME A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND THATS WHAT iM PLAYING NOW. AND YES I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY TEETH.

I`m in 12th grade and currently tied for first chair. When I was in 5th grade, my cousin made me learn trumpet because she hated being the only girl. Now she`s in college and I`m now the only girl. The trumpet section at my school isn`t bad, we just like to see how high we can squeal at the end of songs. And we don`t rush, the rest of the band drags!
If you can`t be God, be a trumpet player. It`s the next best thing and you don`t have to follow all the rules.

well... i think ppl are always either inflated in the head or too modest about their instrument because each sounds better to themself than to someone else cuz you were the one practicing which means you feel more proud about it when you finally master it. what im trying to say is no instrument is easier and no instrument is the best. people keep saying clarinet is simple (i havent played it) but if it was so simple the grades would be equeally difficult becuase they would have just made the standard higher. god... some ppl think just because they can play one tune on an instrument makes them a pianist or a violinist. it doesnt. so just you know.. realise that bagging ppl out of their instrument is just lame and saying your instrument rules is good for spirit and motivation but just keep it to your self if your gonna take your time to say your instrument is BETTER.

I started playing cornet when I was age 9 (1955). Played every day until mid-way through my sophomore year of high school. Played only occasionally after that until the mid 1980`s, then my work career left me no time to do the effort justice, so I put the horn away with no real intent of ever picking it up again. Then in July 1, 2003 while I was sitting home on disability leave, learning to live with cancer (which ended my working career), I felt a calling to pick it back up and use it in the music program at my church. A weeklater my wife replaced the old cornet with a brand new trumpet. Been playing every day since then, and love it.
