What sort of horns are people here playing? Silver, lacquer or otherwise? And what size mouthpieces are you putting into those horns? Just wondering. Thanks.

Yamaha Custom.
Silver.
It`s nice and light.
I actually have a few mouthpieces.
A Dennis Wick 4
A bach 7c (doesn`t everyone have one of those at some stage??)
A Schilke 17 D4D which is a little more shallow and a little more padded round the rim than the bach (although don`t quote me becuase I can`t even FIND the bach to compare......)
I usually play with the schilke.

I got a slightly heavier than average Bach Stradivarious that gives me wawsome tone and rage it has a medium bore and is silver (perfect for jazz or legit with the right mouthpiece) I use two mouthpieces my old Bach 3C and a Bach megatone 1-1/4c which I love dearly I got a Harmon mute set with straight and cup and a couple different plungers (different materials) and well that about covers it.

Mine`s a Conn, silver, and I use a 3C. It was a Christmas present, and it works well, I think, despite some minor abuse (from ME, horror of horrors!).

Yamaha, with 7C and 7E mouthpieces. I really want a silver one for college though.

I play a Bach Strad with ML bore and the 37 bell. My Eb/D is a Getzen Eterna, and my Fluegl is a Jupiter with the rose bell. Jupiter, despite being cheap horns, makes a great fluegl. I have played a Bach and it wasn`t as great a tone. AAAnyway, I use three mouthpeices, all Stork Vacchino Custom, 3D, 3C and 3B.

I used to own a `69 Strad 37 in lacquer. I`ve sold that and purchased a Benge Burbank .464 bore.
Also, I play a Kanstul CCF925 Flugelhorn (www.kanstul.com) and have recently acquired a William Frank Shepherd`s crook cornet as well as a Conn 134E Bb marching French horn.
HEre`s a link.

William Frank is "in the hospital" for repair work, so he`s not in the picture. Eldon (benge) is the one wearing the denim...Ziggie (Kanstul) looks rather distinguished with his copper bell. Connie (134) isn`t sure what she want`s to look like yet...
