Its an interesting problem. I cant even make myself do it! What about one of those syncronised swimming pegs that are designed for noses? Thinking about it, the peg thing is an artificial way of stopping the problem. You need to fix the problem at the root. Ie, within yourself. Can you blow up a balloon without it happening? Or blow through a straw? Practice with a balloon directing one concentrated stream of air into it untill you get use to the feeling of not having it come out your nose. The concept is the same with playing the trumpet. Let me know if it works and in the mean time ill ask round for people who have an idea about this. Also think and experiment with mouth cavity shape.

This isn`t a problem you should attempt to plug, I would talk to a doctor immediatley, this could be the sign of a medical condition such as a herniated throat or a problem with the mechanism that seperates the nose from the mouth. I encourage you to have it checked out as soon as possible if the problem does not subside soon

Good way to freak someone out! Its air direction not some God awful medical condition! I have been trying it out since my last post and I can do it now and think I know what you are on about. Try what I said, even without the balloon, try to get a stream of air straight out of the mouth. If you can do this, it comes down to breaking a bad habbit that you have developed. If not.....take Ya`s advice!
