Hey. I`ve been playin the trumpet at skool since septemebr 2003 and i have this problem with low notes not very low just right under the staff. I am 100% sure i palce the mouthpeice on my mouth wrong. were exactly should u place it between both lips or on the top of the lower lip and a bit over the top lip?? Please help i have this composition and when i play some notes are great others just de out ?? lol

Arban book say that the "traditional" way is 2/3 on bottom lips and 1/3 on top lips, this is the way I play. But actually, in the book, there is also footnote of claude gordon saying that this way is good but that nowaday, many pro player use 1/3 on bottom and 2/3 on top and that doesn,t makes any different... It really depends wich lips you are using the most to buzz... for some it is the top, for other it is the bottom one...

For low notes I use 2/3 top. My top lip is my buzzer.
