Wow. My roommate and I (who are both french horn players) went to a convention where manufactures showed off all their fancy instruments. People took their mouthpeices so they could put them on the new instruments and play them and try them out.
We found one that cost as much as his car, a $30,000 french horn. Rediculous amount of money. It was soooo nice though. We had to wear white gloves to play it. Afterwards, he said that it may sound weird, but `it played like butter.` I laughed because I thought the same thing after I played it, but didn`t say it. To any other horn players, the term, `it played like butter` may make sense to you rather than a trumpet player. But it was really nice to say the least.
