Hey, I`m just wonderin`. I started playin trumpet last year. I have no idea what the highest note i can play is cuz i haven`t really tried, but i know i can play the first space above the treble staff(G) with ease. I made region band this year. fourth chair. Im in first chair in my concert band, and i play 1st trumpet in marching band. IM in 7th grade, it may sound like im bragging, but i just want to know how Im doing.... thanz

yeah, you guys can play high notes, so that hands down makes you a really good trumpet player. nice way to measure your skills to decided if you are good or not. you all seem young, but when you get into high school and college, you will see that just because you can play really high, won`t get you first chair. i`ve known some people who could play high notes, but are 6th or 7th chair, because they can`t play runs, lack tone quality, can`t double and triple tongue. So, just be prepared as you get older, and know that just because you can play a high note, it doesn`t make you good. playing high notes is a small fraction of good trumpet playing.

shutyourmouth.... I know what yur talkin bout with the high note stuff ... I have a trumpet player friend the next town ovver... and he can play really high.. but is tone quality and ability to read notes is awful. When he plays his trumpet, it sounds like a something blowing its nose, and really airy. thanx fer all the comments.
