Typical trumpet players bragging ah when will they learn. The carnival is really not so hard when you slow it down and learn it right. But as to the best recording it has to be Maurice Andre Wynton M is great but Maurice is fantastic. As to the guy who can play it as good as any recording why havent you released an album?

album?    14:44 on Friday, October 31, 2003

reason is cuz i`m not studying music. why take the time to do all that? i`m not out for fame or recognition. playing trumpet was just something i was good at, not something to make a living off of. i`ve learned that just b/c you`re good at something doesnt mean you have to or even should do that for a living. sometimes doing something that doesnt come easily to you is more rewarding.

And what about trying playing it on (french) horn?
That, I think, would be almost imposible...

nothing is impossible. if you work a french hornist could play it. i`m in 8th grade i can play it on trumpet my girlfriend can play it and my best friend in ninth grade is playing it for solo and ensemble competition

so you think you can play it?    18:23 on Sunday, February 29, 2004

all you people say "you can play it" but how many of you can really play it with emotion and perfect sound? None. Too many people think that playing the notes means they can play the piece...that`s false. You must be able to put expression in the music with a clean, round sound in order to say "you can play it".

ya know, i might be able to see where you`re coming from, up till the point where you say "none". never having heard anyone that is posting, how can you make any sort of judgment at all? my first teacher`s teacher was a prodigy, so i`m told. he mastered carnival in 7th grade. perhaps there are some people like that out there. but it`s not for you to make such judgments one way or another. why don`t you put your money where your mouth is and record it, and give us a link to it. then we`ll see if you`ve really got the huevos to go with your mouth. Or not.

Hell, I never said I could play it. I`m saying not everyone can go around and say that they can "play it" when the only thing they can do is play notes. THere`s a thing called "musicianship". No matter what I say, you guys can`t prove anything to me unless I go to your residence and listen to you`all play. I doubt that will happen. So until then, i`m still skeptical--end of story.

you should never put a person down until you can do what ur putting them down for better than they can. you`ve never heard the people that say they can play it. i take band very seriosly. i want to go to juliard. i`ve been playing for 3 years and i think it`s an easy piece. if u put ur mind to it u can accomplish anything
