im in a Lv.2 music camp right now, and a guy that played for i think a month or two, can almost play a Lv.2 range. how can that happen?

Also some lucky people just seem to be able to pick up an instrument and play, while the rest of us "blood, sweat & tears" our way forward. Just born lucky.
But hey, you can catch up and pass him, it`s early days....
