Los Angeles Benge Piccolo Trumpet with serial number 24127 (Circa 1977)
Bought this horn around 1980. Gave me many good nights of playing. Valves are great, has Bb/A leadpipes, silver plated. Water valve could use recorking, but it doesn`t leak. There is a very small ding on the bell between the second and third valve, and a tiny one on the bell, none of which affect playing ofcourse. The third valve slide is stuck, but tuning is very good, never really felt the need to move it (probably why it got stuck). Could use some cleaning with hot soapy water. It`s had little use in the last 6 years.
If you don`t know anything about Benge horns, the LA era horns are great horns. You can read about them on the net...many swear by them. It has given me over 20 years of good performance. This site has a very good explanation of Benge history

The late Gilbert Johnson, my teacher at University of Miami (1979-1981) played it and thought it was great horn.
The original case no longer exists. I use a quad case anyway but I`ll make sure it gets packed very well. Ask all your questions before bidding please. Good luck!
