Ok, i have a question about practice amounts. How long is it health to practice my horn? Cause right now i go to school and play for 1 1/2 hours...than i play after school at the school for another 1 1/2 than i normall will come home and practice another 3-5 hours. Now i love to do this but is it healty? Just curious cause its that all-state music....... work work work!!!

If you seriously want to be a Pro. Then sorry mate...that`s a full time job, and you need to make a buck to put food on the plate.

Practice can also be by playing gigs, and trying out new things (if the band agrees). The more you play the better you will be, and the quicker you pass most on the sidelines having a rest.

Put in, as you say work, work and work.

What is healthy is to stop to smell the roses, and have a short break when you feel it is too much. But don`t stop, just ease into neutral, then step up a gear after the short break.

Keep with it... I want to hear about you in the future..

Oh i love playing for hours. I will normally play for ohhhh 7 hours a day. but ive done that for a week straight and my chops are killing me! But i keep the the stressfull practice schedule. Im just wondering if i should stop this. Or just keep it up till my chops get used to it.
