I was playing my trumpet at my house near my speaker
and a speaker fell on one of my "1st value". The problem
is that it is slightly bent and it can`t go all the
way down. so if I wanna play an F, the value, when I press it
down only goes half way and doesn`t play the note. What should I do?
AM I in some deep shiznet?

Deadhippie -
If it bent a valve stem, chances are it messed the entire valve casing up. All you can do it drop it by a music store but worst case scenario is an excuse to upgrade to a professional horn (Strad., Xeno, ect..)
Good luck,
Aaron

Usually yes, and pretty cheaply. In any case you`d better drop in to the musical instrument repair shop. See what they say before worrying unnecessarily. It is a bummer...

The valve casing can be fixed if it is bent. It will never be as good as new, but it can be useable and probably unnoticeable, if the damage is not bad. Alternately, a new valve and casing can be attatched, though this is usually too expensive to do on a stock horn as just a repair.
