You will keep hearing all of us horn players saying that you can play trumpet.

But I have noticed there are quite a lot of good trumpeters who can play clarinet or sax pretty well; but I don`t see any excellent Clarinet or sax players playing horns well as a double. So I`d really ask a good music teacher for clarinet, and take good advice before you mess up.

That`s OK. I wish I got that high first time..

The open notes are where you get the range. So if you got a D, you should be OK for the open E above it.

Good luck

Thanks! I feel like i have potential in learning trumpet! I took it out the other day in band, just to see what people would say. My band director got mad and told me to get my butt back in my section...oh well
