I was wondering, could the professional trumpeters use beginner trumpets and not touch professional ones?? other than sound quality, what does the professional trumpet offer??

In the majority of cases it is not the horn that changes the sound, it is the player (yes each horn has it`s own specifications and personality that countribute to sound)
There is a top sydney (australia) jazz trumpet player who uses a student model jupiter, b/c he loves the sound.
Generally the quality of the joins, materials and in particular the valves are miles better on a pro horn than a student horn - they usually would have a 1st valve slide as well (although some student model horns have them nowadays).

Another point is student horns are simply more cheaply built. They`re usually all machine made and have very high tolerances within the valves and slides which is fine for a kid, especially considering it makes the horn more durable, but for a pro, it`s kinda restricting.
I think about it like this: Can Hyudai Tiburon keep up with a BMW M3? Well, it`ll go as fast, but it takes a lot more coaxing and time to do so. It won`t handle as well and, though it`s an overall dependable car, it`s disposable and nothing to worry too much about. The M3 on the other hand handles really well and will kick for a long time, but takes a good amount out of your pocket at first.
It`s all up to the player. I wouldn`t use a student horn to perform on.
Cheers!
Aaron
