My band is looking for new ways to seat people. Have any of your bands come up with a fair way of doing this?

seating...what do you mean a fair way of doing this?

Are you talking first chair second chair third chair?

Or actual repositioning of the band?

Our band`s current method is auditions at the beginning of each semester and challenges after each concert. This relaly doesn`t work because, for example, last year, the auditions at the beginning of second semester didn`t happen.

Any other system you think is fair of challenging or overall seating process would be helpful.

My wind ensemble does an audition sort of thing at the beginning of the year, then allows challenges at any time except in the week before a concert.

it doesnt really matter.ur youre own band and u should b unique so seat people where u wanna.
