I consider The "c" abouve the tuning note a double "c" and so on and so on. So could you please define double and triple octaves.. I am a freshman and the highest i can get is a high b flat-some times a "double c" or "double d" so if you could send me some tips on getting higher on my instrument.. i have been 1st chair since 5th grade (when we started) and i am challenging up to 2nd next monday and then to 1st.. they are juniors.. please give me any tips!

1 octave above "tuning c" is a high c. 1 more c above that is double high c. Keep practicing. Concentrate more on tone, and playing though. Nobody needs a 3rd trumpet part that can hit double c`s. :-)

Bryan is correct. So the C above the Bflat you hit is the High C. An octave above that is a double C.

I have been playing 20+ years and hit a double G consistently, but it has been hard work. Range is not the B-all and End-all. Work on tone, and enjoy it!

Triple Cs- I`m past caring!!!
