hey guys, iv been havin this problem for quite a while now- i dont know how to get rid of it.
iv tried the pencil exercicses, buzzin-lip and mp and it`s reallly frustrating me now. my playing time`s cutting down by the day. i get so sore and tired. i can buzz fine but when i connect to the trumpet, i just rely on pressure..its a sort of habit i guess..
well anyway, i really really want to be able to play without worrying about getting sore and tired
thanks guys so much for your help in advance

Fila,
It sounds like you`re doing too much thinking. Buzzing, pencil exercises etc are OK to help build the embouchure, but playing the horn is the most important. Stick in the middle register for a while and concentrate on getting a really solid, nice balanced tone and sound. Forget about the pressure thing, and just play down there and enjoy it for a while. We all need a certain amount of pressure to seal the mouthpiece to the lips as you move up.
Then as you have got a nice sound in the middle, stay with the same embouchure and start to extend your range back up. You can do scales etc to help concentrate, but really worry about your sound quality. The pressure will reduce as you have the confidence to pick off those notes. A high amount of pressure will reduce your endurance, so playing in the middle will allow the brain to adjust and hopefully remove the pressure thing. Use the brain and ear to pick the sound you want and then play it by getting a relaxed air stream, and applying more velocity. Don`t get frustrated...
