hey yall
I have been playin for a year and a half now and they finaly let me in the pep band. Well in the star spangle banner we have to hit the g above the staf. Well usually I can hit hte e above the staf but it seems like everytime I play at a game I cant hit the g. So I was wonder if yall got any suggestions????:-)

Don`t think about it. Playing the trumpet for me is all about hearing the notes before you play them. If you want to hit a high G get the sound in your mind before you play it, and you will. But dont sacrifice tonality and pitch, if you cannot play the note yet-which is understandable seeing as how you have only been playing a year and a half, take it down an octave, or play the 3rd below it, it will sound fine. But most important, you should practice range everyday. I myself have been playing for 7 years and practice almost 2 hours a day-1 hour is on range. Good luck, hope this has helped
