im trying to get that shaking sound you hear in corps shows randomly up high. i think it might just be lip slurs, but im not sure, since the partials are so close, could you just key it? like high C to high D (trilling with the 1st valve) could come out like when you lip slur form C to E, just because of the partials. any help for me? i hope you understand what im trying to say haha.

I have this book, and I`ve practiced a lot of the lip slurs section. There are excersises near the back of the book which help to obtain the "lip trill" that you`re talking about. I`m not quite there yet.

I will also be buying the Arban`s pretty soon. I wanted to today, but had to use the money for gas instead.
