Mike you are right, the Giorgianni 2000 is the ultimate high note dream. As a 42 years old lead player i beat them all with my Giorgianni ( i mean the other mouthpieces ).

i play big mouthpieces because small mouthpieces don`t allow anywhere near as many overtones... it`s not something you can work up on a shallow mouthpieces because shallow mps will not allow it. also small mouthpieces have more resistance that isn`t good for your lips.

I`m a senior in High School and I use a 1C for playing solos and scream parts when needed. I find it wroks great, little extra effort to get the doubles but when they come out they come out crystal clear. You don`t get that on a cheater. plus the added range means I can play loud and with tone in the low register too. If you want overall good tone, then go for the 1C. Some people are just too eager to wait.

Have you ever wondered?    20:46 on Friday, September 16, 2005
