(I just posted this on the general forum and I was told to put it on this one)

I have played the euphonium for a few years now, and have played a little trumpet on the side. I am beginning to make the trumpet my primary instrument. I need one, but I dont know what to get! I have researched for a few months and the best thing I could find that had what I wanted was a Bach LT180 Strad with a #43 bell. I have $2500 to spend and I like a bright, lively tone, good enough for a jazz soloist. I would also like a good mouthpiece to go with it.

This question comes up ALL the time. I might recomend you go check out the Getzen line. Maybe an "intermediate" level 560s (so well built that some pro`s actually sue them). If you are looking for at Bach 180s I might recomend the Getzen 900s. Others will post their preferences below, and it will be the same thing they post every 2 or 3 weeks here ;-)
