I need to get down pretty low for sveral of my songs(low G). The problem
is not getting there, it`s that I have to play louder then the part requires to get there. Can anyone offer a suggestion for a moderately priced moutpiece that can offer me more control?

i dont think there is a mouthpiece that will perform better in the lower register. If you wanted you could get a bach 1 or 1 1/2 c and try that. However, the lower register is totally up to the player.

Playing a larger, deeper mouthpiece will allow you to play with more volume, control, tone, and stability in the low register. It will do the same in the high register, but it takes considerably more work to play than a smaller mouthpiece.
