I`m a young amateur film director looking for a young enthusiastic school/college/sixth form/university, student who would like to compose a film score for a love movie. I have many pieces of notation software so if you want to write the score on paper then I can transfer it for you or you can (preferably) do it on the computer in notation software. Unfortunately as we are non-budget production studio we will not be paying but if any money is made by the project we guarantee that you will receive your share of it.

Thank you very much for replying to my request. You sound like you know a lot about music and initially I like the way you say you write composition. However I am looking for someone to score almost all of the film. The film will last about 3 quarters of an hour maybe less maybe a little longer. I am just finishing off the script and filming has begun. We hope to finish filming by the end of January. When the film is complete I will have a full copy of the film sent to you for scoring along with a script and some notes on the film etc.

Just to give you your rights with the film:

Your name will be put on all posters, credits and the web site along with anywhere else cast and crew names will appear.

If there is any money made with this production we promise you will get your fair share of it.

Your music will be dubbed into the film exactly the way you have composed it and we will not change it/cut it at all without verifying this with you first.

okay Mr. Ben Derrick..thanks a lot...since the film will be done approximately around january I might have a chance to score the whole thing for you..especially that it not a 2 hour movie..BUT..still try to ask as many other composers as you can just incase i cannot do it. I am a junior in high school, therefore competitions this year for me is hectic..I hope you understand..but I will definetely compose something for the film if I have any time. Thank you very much.

I`m another composer and my name is Alex Meyer. If you need any help with that movie I can do some parts - I`ve been composing for about 7 years. I have mostly done sinfonias (variations on themes), serenades and waltzes. Email me if you encounter any trouble - I really need the experience! (I also play oboe, clarinet, keyboards, etcetera so I could also do some of the soundtrack in my dad`s "studio".)

Hi,
I understand that by now you may have a particular composer in mind to score your production. However, I would still like to express my great interest in this project.
I am a young composer with a preference for rich orchestral scores, and I feel sure this would benefit your film. I am equipped with plenty of MIDI notation tools etc. and also live instruments, so would be very willing to compose, orchestrate and record the entire score for you and transfer the final compositions to you for dubbing.
