I`m looking for new pieces that would be good for my band. We`re an 8 piece swing/jazz/ska band... and i`m looking for some good songs to arrangefor some upcoming events. Any kind of big band music would be good too, but we`re looking mostly at instrumentals. The pieces in the works right now, for example, are
Royal Crown Revue- Hey Pachuco
Glenn Miller Band- In the Mood
Phil Collins Big Band- Two Hearts
Louie Prima- Sing, Sing, Sing (with a swing)
Glenn Miller Band - Moonlight Serenade

we`ve got an alto, tenor, clarinet (me), two trumpets, a trombone, a flute, and drummer (still lacking a bassist). Any other good pics?

hey ramos, i`m trying to establish the same sort of thing... (except we have a bass player!) are you arranging music yourself or have you got some arrangements? check my post (i think its like "contempory band" or something.. can`t remember exactly) but its got the whole details. I like the sound of your ideas... tell me what you think of mine!

I arrange a lot of it myself, but Sing Sing Sing and Moonlight Serenade were already arranged for me. I`m gonna search for your thread
