I'm assuming this is a common question so if it's been asked 100s of times before or if I've asked this in the wrong forum I'm sorry.
I'm new, I did a search, but nothing of value came up.
My sister is going to a wedding in two weeks and I volunteered to baby sit my 8 year old niece. She's been playing violin for three months now and I thought I could bring over my guitar and we could practice a couple of songs. But first off, I don't know any simple violin/guitar songs, and second I don't know where or what kind of music I need to download for her to read.
I've been searching for violin tabs (which brought me here)one of your threads say that tabs aren't as useful for violin players, which might put an end to this whole idea of mine.
She's only 8 and she's only been playing for three months at most, so I don't know how well she can read music.
Hopefully this gibberish makes enough sense for someone to point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Re: What are some good violin and guitar duo songs? 01:17 on Friday, October 13, 2006
i hope it is not too late but there is one song that i really like, and it has both guitar and violin parts. it is called 'time of your life' or 'good riddance' by green day. the whole song is mostly guitar, but almost at the end, there is a violin part. you can go search this song up in the internet, im sure there will be some results. hope that helps.
