The Jersey Boys tells the story of a group of blue-collared boys who have come from the wrong side of the tracks and have managed to make it big in the field of music as the biggest American pop music sensations in the history. They penned their own lyrics, invented their own melodies and managed to sell more than 175 million records all across the world — and all this before they had all turned 30 years old.
The show has been penned by the talented Academy Award-winner named Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, whereas the music has been given by Bob Gaudio (who also gave the music for Four Seasons), whereas last but not the least the lyrics have been penned by Bob Crewe.
