How long does it usually take for you to complete a grade?
It takes me about half a year just to learn everything from one grade before im good enough to take the exam! but it didnt take me that long when i was practising for my lower grades. i think im abit slow :s

Half a year is pretty good, I think. You have to take the time to improve your technique and everything like that.

WHAT THE HELL... i take a whole year to finish one grade and im stressing and not playing good until about 2 nights b4 when i really try hard.

1/2 a yr is really not that bad. Hey, go easy on yrself. Music is not a race afterall.

I took 2 years to get to my 1st, 1 year to get to my 2nd, 2 months to get to my 3rd and 2 months to get to my 4th, so I`ve sort of evened out.

It isn`t the time. It is how good you REALLY are after half a year. Better to pass and know everything very well then barely pass.

im stunned... 2 months??? what the hell? it takes me about 2 months to play one song ok.

All my grades up to now are passed with distinction and merits, but i would like to get to grade 8 before i leave college (grade 6 now). Music isnt a race, but theres certainly alot of competition...

if your saying it only took you 2 months to get to grade 3, then thats impossible!

i had been playin for 3 years when i did a grade 2 exam, but i had only been studyin since the eisteddford was over, in bout june n i had hte exam in november
this year it was the same except i did a grade 4 exam
just so long as you play well n pass, it dont matter how long u take
