If you could have your own personalized keyboard, what sorts of features would you have on it? Mine would be one of those fancy, touch-sesitive Yamaha DX7s. I would want the screen on it with buttons to the side to use it. It would have an inventory of songs that it could play with lessons. It would come with headphones, a foot peddal, and MIDI chords, put not a stand since it already has legs. It would have room it it`s little brain for me to record up to 18 songs. It would have 150 different life-like voices. It would have all 88 keys made of ivory, cuz ivory feels a lot more like a piano then plastic. It would of course have YES, Yamaha Educational Suite. I would be able to play my CD`s and my tapes on it, and the lyrics would show up on the screen, and to play along with the song just go to the lessons. It would have all the oriental capabilities of a PSR-A1000 and the capabilities of the DX7`s.....and WOW! the capabilities of the Yamaha TYROS. Ah, perfect! http://www.yamahapkclub.com/english/products/portato/psr170/p170.htm

Well it depends. If you did a lot of composing, I guess that`s be great. But if you play piano because you love piano then nothing beats the real thing. I`ve got a late 1800`s Elliot with yellow ivory keys and it`s perfect.

Holy cow, you just about summed up everything I`d ever want on a keyboard right there! It would have to have pedals, though. So many pieces would sound awesome on a keyboard if it only had pedals....

I have a KORG concert piano... It`s terrible
I know it`s considered to be pretty good, but the sund is weak, the keys are too easy to press (therefore it`s hard to make a big difference between sounds)... I`d choose any real piano over that piece of crap...
However I haven`t played that many digital pianos, so I haven`t got a lot of experience...
Can anyone name a good brand that is identical to the real thing when it comes to keys and sound? (I might persuade my parents to buy me something new soon)
