Okay guys, here`s the deal. I recently found a promotion for a free ipod. Like you`re probably thinking right now, I first thought it was all just a scam. But after doing some research, I found quite a few success stories on the net.
CNN, Wired, and Geek.com all have articles on this promotion.
Here`s an article from Wired Magazine.

Here`s another article from the New York Sun.

The premise is simple. You must sign up for one of ten available free trials, including aol, netscape, etc.
After they process your order you can immediately cancel your trial, apparently this only takes about 3 days.
Next ask 5 of your friends to sign up as well and you`ll have a brand new IPod. No Shipping and handling, no nothing.
You probably want to create an email address specific for the free ipod account because the company (gratis networks) that runs this deal does sell your email address to 3rd parties. So be ready for some spam in your inbox. But if you can stand the spam, then you`ll be rewarded with a free ipod.

As you can probably tell, I`m in the process of getting my IPod. If you`re still afraid it might be a scam then all I can say is don`t try it. But to all the rest of you, good luck.
