OK I have this Bb French Horn with a A valve thingy... It`s not a Bb Horn, a F horn, a double horn, or anything but the Bb horn with a A valve thing. I`m trying to learn how to play it, but nobody seems to know where to get a fingering chart. Ok I could sit at a piano for hours, but a fingering chart would be quite useful!PLEASE DIRECT ME TO A FINGERING CHART, ASAP

Wait, hold the phone...
Did you say a B flat horn? That`s odd - I`ve never heard of that. I only know of there being french horns in F and E flat. Where did you get this horn from? Cuz this sounds like a really rare instrument!

This goes for any instrument. Listen more. Whenever I am not feeling motivated, with no will to practice, I just listen to some music. Whatever style you play, jazz, orchestral, whatever. Nothing gets me going with a will to practice and work more than listenning to the great orchestras playing something like Mahler, Tchaikovsky, or something like that.
Also, you might want to look around for some music you like to play. If your bored with music from whatever band you are playing in, say, for school for example, get some books you can have some fun playing out of. I don`t know much about horn, but for bone I have the Bach Cello Suites, and several other books I like to just read out of a little fropm time to time.
And, if you can, go see the music you play being performed by a great group. I`m lucky out here, as a classical trombone player, I can drive down the highway to see San Francisco Symphony any time I want. It`s expensive, but MUCH MUCH worth it. Everytim I come home from that I just need to break out the horn and play for a while.

I believe the instrument in question is indeed a single B flat horn. The "A" valve you are referring to is likely a stopping valve that brings stopped notes in tune.
Hope this helps.
