I need help. Im some-what new at trombone, I got a new trombone (Conn 88H-CL) and just cleaned it. When i was finished, i looked at the water in the tub and saw that it was a light blue/greenish color. I don`t know what this is. Just so you know, this is the first time that this horn has been cleaned. I`m thinking and hopeing that it`s from the factory. Can someone please tell me what it is?

not to worry...trombones (if youve played long enough) eventually get some...things inside their slide.i`m not sure, but it could just be rust or mold.could happen

The bluish green is a residue of copper oxide. It happens because the copper in the brass starts to corrode. I suggest frequent cleaning (once a month or so) of the horn, and it probably won`t be much of an issue.
