i am a girl and play the trombone all the other girls play clarinets and flutes but it seems weird being one of the two girls that play the trombone in band

I think you should do what you want if you like it keep it if not don`t it is akward but it is ur choice

So, who cares, there is a girl trombonist in my school, and a lot of other schools.

There are plenty of girls in my band that play trombone. I play clarinet but if I were to play brass, I`d definitely play trombone. Last marching season, a female trombone player played a solo in our show.

It`s definitely better than being a trumpet, though. Bleh.

When i started playing i was the only girl, still am... But i am a competative person... when someone says i cant do something, ill go prove them wrong. I am still the only female. But i sit first in my band out of 12 trombonist, and first in jazz as well... I love the trombone. If you like it, keep it up, and dont worry about all the other people.

My main instrument is F horn, but I play the trombone in jazz and marching band. I`ve never seen it as weird being the only girl trombone. (For that matter, the only girl who isn`t a flute or clarinet) I have a lot of fun and I have a lot of friends who I wouldn`t otherwise have met.

OMFG the french horn is the sexiest instrument ever... (after the oboe).. it makes such a awesum sound ... i love it ... we`re playing the firebird suite by stravinsky at the moment... GREAT F HORN SOLO!!
