The Scofflaws, based in Huntingdon, Long Island (but two of our members live in NYC), need a talented trombone player to fill out our horn section. We only have two saxes right now, and we`re really missing a trombone. Must be able to memorize, improvise, and commit. As the new bari sax player, I can tell you it`s a whole lot of fun. Interested? Let me know....

Well, I`d love to jam with the Reel Big Fish out in the west coast if I had the chance...

Yeah, we`re old-school Scofflaws, with a mostly new lineup... if you know anyone in Long Island....

I`m not a trombone player, but I just did a google search on the off chance that you were still together/getting back together. I grew up in Huntington--saw lots of shows at that place on NY Ave in the early 90s, now live in Hawaii, where one of the the most popular local bands is the ska band Go Jimmy Go. Last time I saw you was (mid 90s) with a friend who now writes in the Goings On About Town section of the New Yorker magazine; he loved your show. I`m coming back to Huntington this summer. Mailing list? Put me on it and I`ll keep my New Yorker friend posted.

Thanks,
Erik

Well, we`re playing a couple shows in Long Island on May 27th, actually. First at 8:30 at the YMCA Carnival in Huntington - Park Ave & rt. 25a. Then later we`re playing at the Funky Fish in Bay Shore, probably at 11 or 11:30 - best to contact them, www.dafunkyfish.com, about it. It should be a lot of fun.

I don`t know if we have a mailing list (I`m not the manager), but I`ll put you on _my_ list, anyway.

Ciao!

You guys coming out to the left coast any time soon? More exact, the San Fran/San Jose area? It`d be great to see ya.

Also, one of the greatest ska(ish) bands of all time is from Hawaii. Tantra Monsters. Man I loved those guys...
