I was just curious as to what other peoples opinions are with this... I just received one for a graduation present so i cant take with me to college so i dont annoy the dorm with my practicing... Just wanted to know if anyone had this and what they think of it... Thanks

i dig the idea of being able to hear yourself through the headphones on this system BUT i hate, and let me accent that i HATE HATE HATE the mute itself. its stuffy and just does not feel good. but you didnt pay for it so thats good.

i use a mute called the Shhhh mute. its a great blowing mute...

regardless though i HATE practice mutes because i always feel like i have to blow harder and different if i want to get the right sound. but if i have to use one i use my shhh mute.

Well, I got a question for you....

Are you in a college with a decent music program? Because if you are major/minor-ing in music, and the college has a decent music program, they HAVE practice rooms for musicians. Check on that...

If that`s not the case...well...-_- I`m only going to be a Junior in HS, so what do I know?? -_- -_- xD

I have a double major... music beign the second... they have practice rooms... but on the other side of campus... I just got a chance to try out the mute.. and i absoultely love it... im going ot have to read up on the shh mute... It does sound different... but that is to be expected... the only real problem i have i that i do find myself blowing harder than usual, and also the mute has a tendency to fall out, because of the weight of itself... other than that i like it.

give the inside of your bell a spray with water and turn the mute in clockwise. pull out counter-clockwise. should stay in.
