Anybody played concerto for trombone by rimsky before???? I`m thinking of getting that piece but i wanna know if it`s a difficult piece to play...

The Rimsky Korsakov Trombone Concerto has 3 movement of differing complexity.
In the UK it was [when I was doing mine in the early 180`s] a typical piece used in the Grade exams where it was broken down into:
1st Movement - Grade 5
2nd Movement - Grade 6
all three - Grade 8

Hey, Try the carnival of venice, an awesome solo piece, I played it 2 years ago when I was a senior in HS.
I am not sure of your skill level, if you consider yourself a good player, take on that solo, the double and triple tounging will challenge you. Good luck!

Do you have to double/triple tounge in trombone concerto, thats one thing i can not do-dont know how and i have never been able-i`ve been thinking about getting that solo but i just want to know if its like that or not.

Concert piece in e flat minor by ropartz.
A beutifull piece. It was performed by Joe allesi on his cd. I played it. Its not to difficult.
Exept for the trill. That was hard.
