Try getting the book "Trombone Gems" by H.A. Vandercook, my horn teacher says that there really good to learn out of, i play out of it a lot myself. As you go futher throught the book the music will get much harder, like at the beginning of the book the hardest thing you will have to worry about is 16th notes that doesn`t move off the same line on the staff..."A". but its not hard, so you dont have to worry about the rhythem very much.the highest note on the first one is a D above the staff. then the next some moves some but very little, then it get a little harder so try this book, and make sure that it has a book for piano and a seperate/joined with the trombone part (it shouldn`t have any piano music in it, unlike the other book)the best part is that it gets harder as you go futher and if you can somehow play this song perfect than....you will be the next superstar like bach. by the way, be sure you get all the songs, there should be the songs: Ruby, Emerald, Turquoise, Garnet, Topaz, Opal, Amethyst, Sapphire, Diamond, and Pearl-make sure that you have pearl. Also i listed these from not hard to hardest, and pearl is really hard for a beginnier. So if i was you, i wouldn`t want to really try for the high notes until you practice hard and long enough until you can get chops of steel and is able to hit that high, otherwise your chops will be shot and you couldn`t play for sometime which can affect your playing for sometime
