Then why do you thing anyone will take you seriously if you are incapable of writing your question correctly ? If you are incapable of grasping your language I guess you are likely to be incapable of grasping the complexities of music.

Alas, you seem to find it difficult to determine the difference between a typographical error (on a forum which does not allow edits) and your inability to master your language.

I suggest that if you do not care, they why are you at school. Or maybe you are simply too mantally challenged to make your own mind up.

But then again, I do not suppose you need to master your language when your academic targets are aimed at a job where your most common question will be `And will you like fries with that ?"

Yes I know there is a typo in mentally !

However.....to Quote (corrections in brackets]

"lol you mispelled think[exclamation mark], but so you know, i am one of the best musicians in my school, i[I] take pride in being a musician and i[I] knew what the deffention [definition] ment [meant], im[I am or I`m] not stupid"

Hummmmm... we will let the forum readers make their own mind up on that.

LOOK LOOK YOUR ALL WASTING SPACE!!!!!

i suggest you look into the Rimsky-Korsakov. its challenging and it wont be like some crazy virtuoso piece. and then if you look at it and decide its too hard i would look into a Rochut etude. played well they are amazing.

I corrected Solo and Ensemble more as a joke. I got the point though. It`s a forum, not a friggin’ spelling bee. We all understand the point, even when the words are spelled wrong. Isn`t the point more important than the trivial grammar and spellings behind it? Get over it, and stop making fun of people for putting more effort towards asking and answering questions then how they spell. Good god people, get over it.

Back to the question. There are a LOT of great solos out there. Some are pretty easy, like the Serocki Sonatina, the Jones Sonatina, and the Grondahl Concert. Some are harder, such as the Hindemith Sonate, the Mckay Sonata, or the Jacob Concerto, and some are just stupid hard, like the Creston Fantasy, or the Goldstein Colloquy. There are also the Bach Cello Suites, which are pretty fun and some are pretty challenging. Some are even on the verge of impossible. More than likely you can, for a Solo and Ensemble festival, play something out of the Rochut books, or something like that.

What I did was, I looked through college playing requirements and audition repertoire for solos and technical, stylistic, and etude books that each school requires, from smaller, easier-to-get-into schools, up to the best conservatories. The solos and books that popped up a few times, I went out and bought, either to play right away or just to have in my collection. It’s always good to have a lot of stuff lying around, you never know when you might want to play something new. You should also, if you are taking lessons, ask your teacher what might fit you well, and maybe even borrow some stuff so you can save some money.

Go for it! And who cares how you speel! (That was on purpose, just so you all know.)
