What is the best one? I have a yamaha and it doesn`t work nearly at all and I need to tape it on... thanks!

The one that works best is memorization. They don`t make a trombone lyre that doesn`t suck. There are two types, the type that clamp onto the leadpipe, which are worthless, and the type that clamps onto the bell, which, also, are worthless.
So, spend a bit of extra time and memorize your part. Trust me, life will be much easier.

All lyres suck, find out what music your playing and memorize.
