Kanstul horn play quite well, especially the basses with the tuning in slide setup. the small bore stuff i havent played around with too much but i hear good things. Then the large bore stuff im still it wont really compare to my edwards. they arent good enough for me to convert. i would say if you do end up buying one try MANY of them. they are VERY incosistent so you may find a gem or you may find a piece of junk, this is especially true about the slides i hear.

but all in all dont be discouraged to try them out.

you should not get a kanstul but get a bach or king horn.if you get a back get a 6 and a half al if you get a 12 c mouthpeice.they work together very well.

What valid reason do you have that kanstul horns are no good?

personal experiences? Second hand knowledge?

Kanstul builds some very nice instruments. I would take them over a Bach or a King any day. I feel they are considerably more consistant than many other brands, including the Bachs and Kings. Of course, everyone has an instrument that will work best for them, so play as many horns as you can get your hands on. There are plenty of great horns out there, and even more really bad ones.

Hey all you usual guys, so i havent been around much I moved. thanks bobert mas for your input. You may remember i got a shires last year after a little car accident and I love it, little peashooter kind of thing. I was looking at getting an edwared for a concert (probobly still should) but i found this great buy on a silver plated kanstul (like a grand for one that is brand new) with f attach small bore and a 8 in bell. I played it for over an hour last week again and i think its a done deal.
