I love the spirit of football games, and i even usually like the music...but i HATE marching...can i get an amen?

hate football, hated the music.

loved the good times and friends.
nothing better than a good 3 hours in the stands with your best friends yelling profane things to the french horns in front of you =)

well, we just yell profane things in general...lol and you cant forget those hour long bus rides (or longer) where the football team gets to ride in a coach and the band is stuck on a skool bus...fun, fun...

advantage for being from my high school. we have a very large community income so we had coaches. screw the football team they arent special.

Hehehe... The band I work for doesn`t do football games outside of homecoming. They`re just a waste of time. We just do competitions. And ride on coaches.

AMEN, I completely agree with you and have complained about it a time or two myself!

in my skool (a 1a) the band is all purpose, we do football games, contests, parades, concerts, stage band...so on and so forth...and our skool is all about the sports, and the teams arent even that good, our football team sucks...we only won 2 games last year...but our band has been the best in the county for as long as i can remember and we still get no thanks...we`ve even had people blame the band when the football team lost a game...

well, this is my first year marching, i find it somewhat fun because i`ve been wanting to play in the marching band since 4th grade...i want to do what i used to now, lol, i hate the music were playing serria sister..maria/cool...journey to tommorrow....and the band directors arrangement of send in the clowns, you can go to www.arrpubco.com to listen to the first two, the only problem i have is that people are really homosexual (they will not let me put the other 3 letter word in) in the schools band, i`ve been on the floor of the school bus being raped by the tuba section, they tried to get my shirt off whlide my girlfriend..who WAS (i got moved by others) sitting next to me, so it was not fun. Our band has one of the worst practice fields possibly in the country...deffetnly in the state, we have 3 major roads around us, our parking lot is in a triangle, and there is JFL team that practices in front of us, so its really really loud. but our and gets crap, no one cares about us. we pay for our own charter busses, school system doesn`t help, we ask for a field to practice in, they put up a girl`s softball field. We march for a stupid homecoming parade down street allys, we march in the christmas parade, we march at football, if we dont arrive we get trashed talked about over the radio because were at a contest, we get no reconqition, people look at us with hate, no one cares...we practice on the football turf once a week and their mad because thats when they paint the field. we get blamed for everything, and so on...thats our band, the school expect us to do everything they tell us to do and we have to do it, but i guess it all pays off...i just dont know when yet in my 4 years (this is my 5th) being around the band
