I`m trying to prepare a music supplement to add to my college application, and the college (stanford) allows the musician to record 2 songs, showing a variety of different styles, etc. I`m thinking I`ll pick a jazz and a classical piece. Any suggestions? I want to play rhapsody in blue, but the piano accompaniment looks too difficult for anyone I know to prepare in the amount of time that I have.

So basically, what are some good trombone solos?

Actually I was gonna use Rhapsody in blue for my classical piece, and then I was going to have a heavy swing chart with improv or something for the jazz piece.
