I was talking to some trombone players the other day and we started talking about equipment. I was just wondering about what all the other trombonists in the world use. What model trombone and mouthpiece do you use?

i use a Conn 88HY-CL trombone with a 3C??? mouthpiece. Its and awesome horn

Small tenor(King 2B liberty) Vincet Bach 5
Large Tenor(Edwards T-350) Griego 4.5(solo) Ferguson 1 (orchestra)
bass(Edwards B-454) Ferguson LS(large and stupid)

Jazz: Bach strad LT16M, Dennis Wick 5BS piece (and an old Urbie Green model Jet Tone for messin` around)

Orchestra: Edwards T-350, Warburton 5G (symphony) and Marcinkowicz 5 Greg Wohl (solo, high work) pieces

Bass: Holton TR-180, Marcinkowicz George Roberts Costom piece

thats funny, i go to a school where greg wohl teaches

A Getzen, forgot what model. Manly for marching band.
A Conn 88ch-l, for more soloistic stuff.
And a Yamaha, jazz trombone. Once again, can`t remember, and am to lazy to go look at the model.

As for mouthpieces, a 5G, or my Christian Lindberg 5cl mouthpiece.

I like Christain Lindburg mouthpeices...they don`t have rims, i like them

Really? I can`t stand them. But then again, they work for Lindberg, who is just a big flashy soloist.

Sounds like all you guys use a 5G mpc. I`m a senior in HS should I buy one?

You should try it before you buy it, and if you like it, go for it. Just remember, a size 5 of one brnad will be different than a 5 froma different brand. My Warburton 5G is bigger than a Bach 5, and a Greg Black is even bigger.
