I`m not actually sure what amazing range you can achieve on the Trombone, but I know a player in my school who is best trombone player I have ever seen, I can sit here all day and talk about stuff he has won etc, but what blows my mind is his amazing range.

He can play 6 Bflats. On bass clef, the one below the staff, second line, top of the staff, one on the fourth leger line, one above the seventh, and I guess, the superest Bflat above that... is this normal? I have no idea.. he`s crazy.

Standard size, can`t remember the numbers. The equivilent of 7C to Trumpet I think... he has smaller mouthpieces that he can really whail on. I think his lips are just freaky and can buzz at really high pitches, he`s always had good range.. he learned on treble clef and was taught playing high, which is the primary reason I think.
