I was thinking, and i wondered "Why is it so much fun to play so loud?" I`ll be the first to admit, being loud is most DEFINITELY not everything, and should be used only when appropriate...but don`t you just love it when your band ends up playing one of those pieces where volume is needed? Smoke on the Water is a great example, my band played it and because their aren`t many low brass players, we really got to `strut our stuff`...lol And i`m not really talking about concert band, but football season is a great time, because we trombone players get to be overly obnoxious...and its just fun to upset the bloated egos of the trumpet players sitting in front of me...

to loud??? is that possible?????
i heard a bone played a few weeks ago that had a bell made of led chrystal. Lets just say that metal cant get loud. Way to show up the trumpets.
