personally..
he made me a set up with a rim about between a bach 3 and 4, with a large cup and shank for large horn playing, and a very shallow cup with a small back bore for small horn playing.
so i can switch back and forth without the rim feeling any different on my face.. it's been great for me. plus , having lexan rims available are great for cold weather gigs (like the parade we played today
)
but the point is, he's very helpful in helping you figure out what is right for you.
