Some of the best trombones are

connstallation student or master model(500-700 dollars)
Vincet Bach T56(500-1,200 dollers)

-F-attachment-
Holten 8"bell(900-2,000 dollars)

where are you shopping that a Bach Stradivarius with an F attachment (I assume you are referring to a model 42BO or 36BO???) costs 3500-6000 dollars?????
actually, a lot or your cost estimates are off, especially if you are going new instead of used.
one thing to keep in mind is, that there are lots of great makes and models out there, and just because you like the ones listed doesn't mean they're gonna be right for everybody else.
for example, my mouthpiece set up is rather unorthodox, and most people wouldn't like it too much, but it works wonders for me.
i'm curious what makes you feel the models you listed are the best ones???

well, I have a lot more I was going to add today, Because I had to go and check some of my prices. But yes a new Stratavarious with the extended bell does cost about that much new. And I like the holton because that is what I play.

two questions..
what is an "extended bell"?
and where did you get those prices? we are talking US dollars? are you referring to list prices?
keep in mind also..
it's one thing to say "hey, I play a holton and I really like it".. it's entirely another to use that as a qualifier for giving general advice on horn purchases.

Bach Strad 36's go for around 2,000.
Bach Strad 42's gor for between 2,000 and 2,500.
Bach Strad 50's gor for between 2,500 and 3,000.

Really, if you are paying 6,000 for a Strad, you are getting robbed. Hell, I bought my custom Edwards for only 3,300.

Actually, if you're looking for advice on better trombone equipment and how to sound better, go the OTJ Forum. There are many knowledgeable people there who know more about trombones than me, and I've been playing for 13 years.

My favorite trombones, without a doubt, are S.E. Shires, made in Massachusetts. Expensive, but worth every penny.

My favorite mouthpieces are made by Greg Black and Doug Elliott.

However, just because they're my favorites, doesn't mean that they're for everybody.

Has anyone come across a website where I can get the song 'blue moon' for bass clef trombone

I dont want to buy it, or a whole book just for that one song I just need it to compare to the sheet music I already have.

Any help would be much appreciated
